The Ateneo Grade School campus buzzed with excitement as pupils displayed their creativity during Math and Science Fair last 6 November 2024 at the Fr. Martinez Sports Complex (MSC). This annual celebration of innovation, creativity, and critical thinking featured interactive activities designed for each grade level, encouraging a love for Science and Mathematics among young learners.

Grade 1 pupils embarked on a journey of shapes and colors, crafting vibrant artwork that demonstrated their understanding of geometric figures.

Grade 2 pupils explored the beauty of mathematical patterns by designing works of art. Their designs highlighted the harmony of repetition and symmetry, showcasing their creativity while applying mathematical concepts.

Grade 3 took to the skies, creating and flying their own kites. This activity combined engineering principles and hands-on creativity, as pupils learned the Science of aerodynamics and teamwork to achieve soaring success.

Grade 4 pupils stepped into the future, designing robots using cartons and recyclable materials. These creations, which ranged from humanoids to imaginative machines, demonstrated their understanding of problem-solving and innovative thinking.

Grade 5 engineers tackled the challenge of constructing straw bridges. Using limited resources, they learned about structural stability and the principles of tension and compression, producing bridges that could support small weights.

Grade 6 pupils tested their knowledge of aerodynamics and design by crafting paper planes. Competing for the longest flight, the activity encouraged experimentation and precision as pupils learned how small adjustments could affect flight performance.

The Math and Science Fair emphasized the importance of blending fun with education, reinforcing the role of STEM in shaping young minds. Through Math and Science Week, Ateneo de Davao University Grade School continues its commitment to nurturing future innovators and leaders by providing meaningful learning experiences.
