Davao City, Philippines – 23 February 2025 – Ateneo de Davao Grade School successfully hosted its four-day Open House from February 18 to 21, 2025, providing future Blue Knights and their families with a first-hand experience of the school’s holistic and transformative learning environment. Each day followed a structured program, beginning with a warm welcome from our Blue Knights, followed by a short orientation, a pupil activity, a campus tour, and concluding with a photo opportunity and the awarding of certificates.
The first day of the Open House set the stage for an exciting journey. Families were greeted with warm smiles as our Blue Knights extended their welcome to the visiting pupils and parents. A brief orientation introduced them to Ateneo de Davao’s mission of academic excellence, character formation, and holistic development. The pupils then participated in engaging classroom activities designed to showcase the school’s nurturing and dynamic learning environment. Following this, families embarked on a campus tour, exploring the state-of-the-art facilities that support Ateneo’s innovative educational approach. The day ended on a high note with a photo opportunity and the awarding of certificates, marking the beginning of their journey with Ateneo.
On the second and third days, pupils had the opportunity to explore Ateneo’s commitment to digital learning and literacy. After another warm welcome and orientation, pupils engaged in a Computer Period where they discovered how technology is seamlessly integrated into the curriculum through interactive learning tools and digital resources. This was followed by a Library Period, where pupils immersed themselves in storytelling sessions and literacy activities, fostering a love for reading. Parents, meanwhile, had the chance to consult with school representatives regarding admissions and academic programs. The day concluded with a campus tour, a commemorative photo session, and the awarding of certificates, capturing the excitement and enthusiasm of the young learners.
The third and fourth days highlighted the school’s balanced approach to academics and physical development. After the usual warm welcome and orientation, pupils participated in a Swimming Period, where they built confidence in the water through a guided swimming session led by trained instructors. At the same time, parents had the opportunity to observe the school’s top-tier sports facilities and learn more about Ateneo’s dedication to holistic growth. The Library Period continued, reinforcing the young participants’ reading comprehension and literacy skills. A final campus tour allowed families to explore the vibrant school community before wrapping up the day with a photo session and certificate awarding, a moment of celebration for both pupils and parents.
Throughout the four-day event, families witnessed firsthand the Ateneo way of learning, where excellence, character, and formation come together to shape future leaders and lifelong learners. Many parents expressed enthusiasm about enrolling their children, impressed by the school’s commitment to academic and personal development.
As the event came to a close, Ateneo de Davao Grade School extended its gratitude to all the families who participated. “This Open House is just the beginning.
