Every meaningful school year begins with a warm welcome, and for our youngest Blue Knights, that welcome starts with building a strong connection between home and school.
On June 30, July 2, and July 3, 2026, the Ateneo de Davao Grade School welcomed Playschool, Nursery, and Kindergarten pupils, along with their parents and guardians, through the Meet and Greet with the Homeroom Teacher. The activity provided families with an opportunity to meet their child’s teacher, become familiar with the classroom environment, and begin building relationships that will support the child’s learning and development throughout the school year.
During the meet-and-greet, parents and pupils were oriented to classroom routines, schedules, school expectations, dismissal procedures, and the use of Moodle Courseware. Parents were also given practical guidance on helping children manage separation anxiety as they adjust to the new school environment. The activity likewise provided time for families to complete important information and volunteer forms in preparation for the school year.
More than an orientation, the activity marked the beginning of a meaningful home–school partnership. With the spirit of cura personalis, care for the whole person, at the heart of our formation, the Grade School looks forward to working closely with families in nurturing each child’s growth, well-being, and potential.
