The Ateneo de Davao Grade School community gathered in faith and thanksgiving for the Holy Spirit Mass, marking the beginning of School Year 2026–2027 and entrusting the school community to God’s loving guidance.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Fr. Karel San Juan, SJ, University President, and concelebrated by Fr. Patrick Z. Falguera, SJ, Grade School Chaplain; Fr. Anthony Phi Lam, SJ; and Fr. Joseph Le Vinh Tu, SJ, all members of the Society of Jesus.

Through the celebration of the Eucharist, learners, faculty, staff, administrators, and members of the school community were invited to open their hearts to the Holy Spirit’s promptings. The Mass served as a reminder to approach the new school year with wisdom in making decisions, courage in facing challenges, and steadfast trust in God.

The Grade School community also expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Grade 6 Community, who served as this year’s Mass Sponsor, and to everyone who came together in prayer and thanksgiving.

As the Ateneo de Davao Grade School community continues its journey through School Year 2026–2027, may the Holy Spirit guide each member of the community to grow in faith, deepen their love for others, and live out the Atenean call to become men and women for others.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.”
