The Ateneo de Davao Grade School community officially welcomed School Year 2026–2027 with a spirit of prayer, thanksgiving, and renewed commitment to learning and service.

The first day began with a Daily Mass at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel, bringing together pupils, parents, teachers, staff, and administrators as one community. Through the Eucharistic celebration, the school entrusted the new academic year to God and sought His guidance for the journey ahead.

Following the Mass, teachers warmly welcomed pupils into their classrooms, while staff members assisted families throughout the campus. Security personnel and support staff worked together to manage drop-off areas and help ensure a safe and orderly arrival for all pupils.

Information stations were also set up by various school offices to introduce pupils and parents to the student services and support programs available to them throughout the school year. These stations provided families with opportunities to become more familiar with the resources that help make the Grade School experience meaningful and enriching.

At 9:00 a.m., the school community participated in an earthquake drill, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and reviewing the proper procedures to follow during emergencies. The activity served as an opportunity for pupils and personnel to practice responding calmly and appropriately while keeping one another safe.

The morning continued with homeroom orientations, where teachers guided pupils through classroom routines, expectations, and important information for the school year. It was a time for pupils to reconnect with classmates, meet their teachers, and begin building the relationships that will shape their experiences in the months ahead.

As the first day came to a close, pupils headed home after a meaningful and eventful start, warmly sent off by faculty and staff. The day marked not simply the beginning of another academic year, but the opening of a new chapter filled with opportunities to learn, grow, serve, and discover.

As the Ateneo de Davao Grade School community embarks on School Year 2026–2027, may we continue to walk together in faith and purpose, guided by our shared mission of learning, service, and finding God in all things.

Welcome back, Blue Knights! Here’s to a meaningful and fruitful school year ahead!
