The Ateneo de Davao Grade School community gathered for the 2nd Pupils’ General Assembly, bringing together our young Blue Knights for a time of formation, reflection, and community building.
During the assembly, the Principal echoed the message shared by the University President at the Holy Spirit Mass, encouraging pupils to carry three important reminders as they navigate the school year: think wisely, be brave, and hold on to God in every situation. These words served as an invitation for our young learners to approach challenges with discernment, courage, and faith.
The Assistant Principal for Formation also introduced the July Value for the Month: “Finding God in All Things.” Through this value, pupils were reminded to look beyond everyday experiences and recognize God’s presence in their relationships, learning, challenges, joys, and acts of service.
The assembly also became an unexpected opportunity to put preparedness and calm into practice when an earthquake interrupted the gathering. Guided by their teachers and school personnel, pupils remained calm and safely evacuated the area in an orderly manner. The school community gives thanks to God for His protection and commends the pupils, faculty, and staff for their calm, cooperation, and responsible response during the emergency.
More than a gathering, the assembly became a meaningful reminder that the values we learn are meant to be lived, especially in moments that test our courage, awareness, and faith.
As we continue through the month of July, may our Blue Knights remain attentive to God’s presence in every experience and continue to think wisely, be brave, and hold on to God in all things.
Finding God in all things, and in every moment of our journey.
